“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid. You heard me tell you, “I am going away and I will come back to you.” If you loved me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.
Good morning, Lord. Thank you for this peaceful, quiet time to pray.
My Jesus, you prepared your disciples for your leaving, knowing that the Spirit would remind them of your promises after your death and resurrection. They could not understand what you were telling them. The thought of your departure must have dismayed them so much that they could scarcely listen. Yet they would remember.
Sometimes it is hard for me, in the moment, to understand what you are showing me, but I know that all things are possible and all will be revealed.
Please, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, guide me through this new day and teach me what I need to learn. I trust in you. I rejoice in you. Thy will be done.
