But I tell you the truth; it is better for you that I go. For if I do not go, the Advocate will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.
(John 16:7)

The disciples grieve because you have told them that you are going away, Lord, but once again you reassure them that you will send the Advocate. When you do, they will finally understand what you have been teaching them.

What are you telling me now, Lord? I have responsibilities to fulfill. Some seem more important than others, but you will bless me in all that I offer to you. Spirit of truth, show me how to make this little life a ministry of witness. The most insignificant actions and encounters might be your way of accomplishing something through me. Keep me open. Thy will be done.
