And whoever receives one child such as this in my name receives me.

(Matthew 18:5)

How appropriate this passage is for me today. I have spent two days with little children, but I forget that I welcome them in your name, Lord. I delight in them so much that I haven’t had a chance to be still, but now the two little ones are out.

Another one just knocked on the door as I was beginning to write this. She is older, though, and busy with her tablet. God bless her and all the children who touch my life.
Now I am happy for some time to rest in you.

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

(Matthew 18:20)

Thank you, Lord, for a chance to pray with my family and to share your Word and your Spirit. Draw us close to one another and to you. When we truly know your love, we will promote peace.
