He did not say this on his own, but since he was high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus was going to die for the nation, and not only for the nation, but also to gather into one the dispersed children of God.
(John 11:51-52)

Lord, you use even those who hate you to report your Word and carry out your will. Make me not only your instrument, but a willing instrument, desiring only you.

Just as the demons knew and declared who you are, wicked people have prophesied, although the purpose of their words was opposed to you.

They say we can learn more from our enemies than from our friends. When we are criticized, let us examine what truth there is in the harsh words we hear, and, with your grace, amend our lives. If there is no truth in their words, let us, as Paul tells us, rejoice that we can suffer for you, who are Truth. Thy will be done.
