It is the Spirit that gives life, while the flesh is of no avail. The words I have spoken to you are Spirit and life.
(John 6:63)

What is life, Lord? It is not our bodies, but your Spirit which breathes on us. Your words, formed with your breath, create and sustain us. Your “Fiat” is echoed in the words of your Son and it is the life of Christ that saves us. How can I respect and represent your Spirit today?

I will participate in your Sacrifice and receive you in the Eucharist. Prepare me for this, our greatest earthly privilege. Let me carry you in my heart and act through you, sharing your infinite Love with whomever I encounter. When I return home, I am certain to meet people who are in pain, lonely, bitter and critical. How will I respond? Let me not forget that you are within me and can act through me if I get out of your way.
