Jesus, looking at him, loved him and said to him, “You are lacking in on thing. Go, sell what you have and give to the poor and you will have treasure in Heaven; then come, follow me.”
Before I can follow you, Lord, I must get rid of all these things that clutter my life. Please help me. I have so much, even though my possessions are far from valuable. It seems easier to walk away from them than to dispose of them.
Spiritually, what clutters my soul? My sins are forgiven; I can release them. Regrets for past choices are useless. I’ll sweep them away. Let me live in the Now, trusting you to remind me of the lessons you have taught.
Just as you promised your disciples that the Spirit would instruct them in what to say, you will make your will known to me and give me the grace and courage to work accordingly. Thy will be done.
