Jesus answered and said, “This is the work of God, that you believe in the one he sent.”

(John 6:29)

Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst.”

(John 6:35)

Jesus, bread of life, work in me. When I believe in you, I do your will without effort. I come to you, not from physical hunger and thirst, but from longing to be united with you. The Host I consume does not become a part of me; instead, I become one with you. You transform me. How lost I would be if I had never tasted your incarnate love! Thank you, God who creates, God who saves, God who nourishes. Here I am. I come to do your will.
