Lord, since you brought me into this world, I have completed three quarters of a century, a long time, maybe, looking back, yet at the same time seeming to happen in a flash, not even a nanosecond of eternity, which is immeasurable by any scale. I have outlived my “three score and ten” years.
Thank you for all you have given me in this short span, for those who went before me and taught those who would teach me, for all those who have accompanied and supported me, and for all who will remember me.
Thank you for your Presence at every second, through every celebration, every joy, every grief, every pain, every moment of health and energy. Thank you for every time you have broken my stubbornness so that you could work through me. Thank you for all you have given and all you have forgiven.
